Which cheap rc quadcopter to buy... It can be difficult to choose the right one when just starting out. It really depends on if you are looking to just get into the hobby or looking to move from a small rc quadcopter to a large one. We wanted to focus on a few small rc quadcopters that we think would be great to get into the hobby! All of the rc quadcopters below are under $100, ready to fly right out the box, and will fit in the palm of your hand!
#1 HUBSAN X4
This
Hubsan X4 H107L is a bulletproof mini rc quadcopter and one that we
personally love and the most cost effective starter drone on the market
today. It will take plenty of damage and keep on ticking which is why we
love it! This mini drone is recommended for beginners as well as
advanced fliers as it is fairly easy to learn on and super fun to fly.
Whether you want to fly it inside or outside it will do well for any
type of environment. You can find some more information on the different
varieties available here. Check out our review here.
#2 RC LOGGER EYE ONE
They
RC Logger Eye One is a great new rc quadcopter on the market. For the
price we think this rc quadcopter is best bang for your buck. For the
price point you really can't go wrong starting with this rc quadcopter.
We would really recommend this to anyone who wants to start with a small
rc quadcopter and work their way up. Check out more information about it here.
#3 WALKERA LADYBIRD
The
Walkera QR Ladybird Mini Drone is only palm sized but it has a bit of a
fun shape as it looks like a ladybug. This is very popular because the
price point seems to be a bit lower than most mini drones. It does have
the advanced 6 Axis gyro controlled system which makes it very stable
during flight and very easy to fly. Beyond being very stable, it is very
fast and maneuverable and we love how it flies. Check out a more in depth review here.
#4 ESTES 4606 PROTO X NANO
This is the smallest rc quadcopter available on the market at this time, which is a bit of a novelty factor that has us put this quad at #4. For the price, it is a simple and dependable drone that's easy enough for beginners to pick up. The main issue with the Estes 4606 Proto X Nano is the size of the controller which, if you have larger hands, is very hard to use. If you're looking for an rc quadcopter with a number of cool features, then the Proto X is not going to be the best choice. However, if you are looking for a micro dronethat is fun to fly around your cubicle, then it should fit the bill perfectly. Check out a more in depth review here.
#5 BLADE NANO QX
This
is a great little rc quadcopter with great reviews all over Amazon. The
tiny Blade Nano QX is a little heavier than half an ounce and is small
enough to fly in your bedroom. One thing that is really great about the
Blade Nano QX is the fact that it already comes with attached rotor
guards which are crucial when learning to fly. Overall the highlights
are how easy it is to use, it is cost effective, and it already comes
with the blade guard. Check out a more in depth video review here
#6 HELI-MAX 1SQ
The
Heli-Max 1SQ is a great mini rc quadcopter on the market for 2014. It
is very durable, capable of outdoor flight in light winds and is ready
to fly right out of the box. We think this is a decent quad but due to
its pricing and the fact that it only has a 3-axis gyro system, we have
to leave it as #5 on the list. It also tends to be a little more pricy
when you are purchasing it ready to fly. Check out a more in depth review here.
#7 SYMA X1
They
Syma X1 is a great starter rc quadcopter and is the cheapest of our
lineup. It is a little larger than the other ones in our list but it
runs very stable and is hard to break. For the price point you really
can't go wrong starting with this rc quadcopter. We would really
recommend this to anyone who wants to start with a little bigger quad
and needs it to be cheap! Check out a more detailed review here.
We hope this gave you a good list of some great rc quadcopters on the market today. You really can't go wrong with any of them and we really recommend you choose one and get into the hobby!
